Late Taaaaaaaaa! As a kid I loved He-man. The cartoon, the toys, it was great. There are so many crazy characters you could do redesigns for days. I went a bit overboard and did a three shot of my favorite villains. I wanted the colors to be garish and over the top like the old action figures.

yeah--i like this, as well--it would seem the he-man universe was more popular than i would have thought--although i'm still surprised nicolas hasn't posted anything....i agree with jer, nice palate, and great trap-jaw--!

I checked out your blog, nice work, man. To answer your question on the background. It's all photoshop and I just play with the brush settings to find textures i like. Also, tweaking the color balance can give you some interesting variations in color and tones. That's about it.
